Zoë galle
Zoë Galle is a coach and facilitator based in Brooklyn, NY with a rich background in community organizing and program management, business and the performing arts. She combines 25 years of dance experience performing and directing, with her business experience working on strategic development and creative innovation design with entrepreneurs in her practice. Zoë also has a private somatic coaching practice working with people to help them see where they are blocked and supporting them in their transformation. She encourages their embodiment that allows for their authentic self to emerge and mobilizes them to embody their visions by getting into right relationship with their power.
Zoë has always been passionate about working with people to develop their inner leadership skills and engage in creative and courageous risk taking in the name of change. She has developed community performing arts programming with the College for Creative Studies and the Skillman Foundation in Detroit, mentoring young performing artists and producing community arts events, as well as designed and facilitated immersive workshops for team building and business development with the company Solve Next. Some of her clients include: The College Board, Harvard Business School, FTI Consulting, General Mills, and Johnson and Johnson. Through her work with Inspiring Educators, Zoë has delivered training for aspiring school leaders in Newark, NJ.
Zoë has been making her own work since 2014, performing and choreographing for the stage in San Francisco and New York City. Her work has been shown at Velocity Dance Center in Seattle, Motion Pacific and the 418 Project in Santa Cruz, the Joe Goode Annex in San Francisco, Dixon Place, BAX, Eden’s Expressway, The Nightingale-Bamford School,The Martha Graham Studio, Gibney: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center in New York City and at Rhode Island College. She also choreographed musical theater for Danny Scheie at the University of California Santa Cruz. She works largely improvisationally, combining post-modern dance, devised theater and authentic movement in her process.
Zoë completed a Bachelors of the Arts in Community Studies with an emphasis in public art and a Bachelors of the Arts in Fine Art with an emphasis in printmaking from the University of California Santa Cruz as well as a year at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Zoë has completed a 200hr Yoga TT, over 50 hours of training in Ayurveda, 20 hours of training on trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices with the Lineage Project, and 15 hours of training on healing justice and peer support from the Black Emotional and Mental Health organization based in Los Angeles.
