An educator for over 15 years, Vikki O. Stokes, M.A./M.Ed. has served in several educational capacities in the most difficult urban areas in the City of Chicago including Roseland, Englewood and South Chicago. Ms. Stokes brings a diverse background in education and the arts to her facilitation with Inspiring Educators.

Guided by the principle that anything is possible, Ms. Stokes has led schools through application of turnaround and school improvement researched based best practices resulting in dramatically improving student outcomes. Considering herself, as ultimately a creative, and viewing education even as an art, Ms. Vikki O. Stokes is an award-winning singer and actress who has graced the stage of Madison Garden, opening for Sting; and has even been invited to even sing for the Inauguration of President Clinton with Grammy nominated band Liquid Soul, (just to mention a few of her performance accolades). Ms. Stokes continues to serve in a school improvement capacity nationwide; helping to inspire teachers, leaders and students, fostering continued hope and motivating masses to achieve excellence through dramatic results and radical transformation.

Applying the practices gleaned from training by New Leaders for New schools, Ms. Stokes resume spans far and wide, and she has been recognized by former CPS Chief Officers in Networks 11 and 12, as being in the Top 5 schools for growth and improvement in 2012 and 2014. Recently, Ms. Stokes, was accepted into the Exploring New School Models fellowship with New Leader for New Schools Alumni, to design an innovative school model, with a goal of opening a new K-12 school steeped in equity and rich cultural, individualized experiences for Black children, in the next two years. She is also the co-founder of up-and-coming educational solutions firm, Aspire Academic Solutions, Inc.
