Margie Zohn
Margie Zohn is a highly creative and perceptive facilitator and leadership coach with nearly 30 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Margie helps leaders to grow their careers, broaden their scope of leadership and achieve both personal and organizational success. Margie focuses on the core strengths and values of each individual and leverages them to master strategic, organizational and interpersonal challenges. She helps leaders skillfully adapt to change and inspire their colleagues to do the same. As a trained actor, Margie has a unique lens that informs her design, coaching and facilitation of leadership training.
Margie has served as a facilitator and coach with Inspiring Educators for over a decade. As a facilitator and coach with IE, she has worked with leaders across the K-12 space, serving clients such as Achievement First, Achievement Network, Boston Public Schools, City Year, Lynch Leadership Academy, Match Education, NYC Department of Education, Teach for America, and UP Education.
In higher education, Margie has taught at Executive Education Programs including Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Duke, Northwestern and IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. She has also designed programs for Harvard Business School, Harvard Graduate School of Education, MIT, Boston University, Emerson College and New England Conservatory. Additionally, from 2011-2022, Margie held a faculty appointment at Harvard University teaching public speaking. During this time, her course was among the most highly rated at the university according to student scores. Margie also trained and mentored all incoming instructors to the Harvard speaking program which tripled in size during her tenure. She was recognized for excellence in teaching by Harvard’s Derek Bok Center during each semester she taught.
In the corporate sector, Margie has traveled all over the world delivering training for companies like American Express, Biogen, Capital One, Procter & Gamble, Google, Boston Consulting Group, General Electric, McKinsey, and Wellington Management.
Margie has also led programming for nonprofits such as The Boston Neighborhood Network, Future Chefs, Courage and Renewal Northeast and The Samaritans. She has also served as a senior consultant with the Leadership Development Institute of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies.
As a professional actor, Margie has performed roles ranging from musical comedy to Shakespeare. A playwright as well as a performer, Margie has created one-woman shows, and recently wrote a play that raises awareness about verbal and emotional abuse. Margie still coaches performers and speakers on every kind of stage, and has developed and directed numerous projects for performance venues in the US and abroad.
Margie received her B.A. from Brown University and her Ed.M from Harvard University. She also has an executive coaching certification from The College of Executive Coaching.
